REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR THE PVSD FOUNDATION DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT ON MARCH 7

COLLEGEVILLE  — It’s time to start practicing your dodging abilities and thinking up your most creative team names for the 5th Annual PVSD Foundation Dodgeball Tournament, coming up on Friday, March 7, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the gyms at Perkiomen Valley High School.

It is $15 per player to participate and $3 for those who want to watch the tournament. Registration for this popular annual event is now open on a first-come, first-serve basis with the deadline for all registration forms set for Friday, Feb. 7. To sign up, please download and send in all required registration materials, which are available online. Go to the Perkiomen Valley School District website, www.pvsd.org , and select “PVSD Foundation” on the left-hand side navigation menu.

Teams should be made up of 6-10 players and may be co-ed. Each dodgeball team is encouraged to get creative with a fun name and uniform, and will participate in one of three divisions: minor league for players 12 and under, major league for players 13 and older, or a family league for adult and youth players (number of children must exceed adults). Players under the age of 18 also need to submit a signed “Permission to Participate Form.” Please contact Cindy Hickey at pvsdfoundation@gmail.com with any registration questions.

In addition to squaring off against other competitors in a tournament, participants will be able to join in a 50/50 raffle and purchase refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed team, the team with the best name, and all first-place division winners. Whether you are playing or watching, it is a fun night for all.

This spirited event brought together over 650 families last year and raised over $10,000 for the PVSD Foundation. The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization that enhances and enriches educational opportunities for PV students through grants and scholarships to teachers. The Foundation hosts a number of fundraisers throughout the year, including the Dodgeball Tournament and the Golf Outing and Dinner Social.

Perkiomen Valley High School is located at 509 Gravel Pike, Collegeville.
