COLLEGEVILLE – Hundreds of adults and children dodged, ducked and chucked their way through the 6th Annual PVSD Foundation Dodgeball Tournament held on March 6 at Perkiomen Valley High School, and in the process helped the Foundation to raise approximately $17,800!

This year’s event, which was packed with action, PV pride and spirited competition, featured competitions among teams in one of four divisions: Micro and mini (for the tournament’s youngest competitors), minor (elementary-school aged students), and major (teens and up). Prizes were awarded to the top teams in each division, as well as to those with the best team name and the best dressed. Winners included:

  • Best Costume: Team Olaf in Winter
  • Best Name: Slum Dodge Millionaires
  • Micro Team Champion: Pink Panthers
  • Mini Team Champion: #fastballs
  • Minor Team Champion: South Stingers
  • Major Team Champion: Meatballs

The Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization that enhances and enriches educational opportunities for PV students through grants and scholarships to teachers. Last year, the Foundation supplied over $47,000 in grant funding to teachers of all levels for programs and technology used in the classroom.
