PV Professional Learning
In an era when we are all so busy that we use services to deliver groceries and eals to our houses, how can teachers stay at the forefront of the current trends in education? Fortunately for the staff in Perkiomen Valley, the team of Instructional Coaches has found a way to develop learning opportunities that better-fit teachers’ needs, schedules, and interests. The best part? The Professional Learning resources get delivered straight to the classroom door.
Through Door Dash Professional Learning, staff throughout PV select topics that would be of personal interest for their growth as an educator. The materials and strategies are bagged and sent to the classroom, along with QR codes to further resources and examples to support the learning. As participants in the program have already noted, the format of these learning opportunities has allowed them to explore the strategies at their own pace and at a time that works best for their schedules.
Perhaps the most exciting part of this project is that the early responses show how quickly these educators have been able to implement the strategies into their work, leading to a significant improvement in student learning! This allows the students of Perkiomen Valley to take part in some of the best practices and instruction. It also allows our teachers to grow personally and professionally as they step out and try something new.
PVSD Foundation is proud to support a project such as this, which allows staff throughout PV to stay up to date on the latest trends in education, which in turn support the needs of the diverse learning community.

Teachers don’t always have access to materials, technology, and other resources that can make the difference between a lesson that is forgotten the next day and one that lasts beyond graduation. That’s where you come in. Your contribution to the PVSD Foundation helps ensure that the Foundation can continue to support teachers in delivering enriching educational opportunities for all students when tax dollars and traditional revenue streams fall short.
