In October 2022, Perkiomen Valley School District lost a vital community member, Pam Kirkman, also a valuable member of the Foundation. As a substitute teacher in the district, and to honor her love for the community and education, the Foundation is proud to create a scholarship in her name for a graduating senior expecting to major in education.
Perkiomen Valley School District Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship per year to a student chosen by the Kirkman family.
Eligibility: Any PVHS senior who
- will be attending a 4-year accredited college to major or minor in education with a desire to pursue a teaching career
- has been a positive presence with demonstrated community service within the PVSD schools and/or the greater community.
Requirements:
- Completion of the application
- Provide an essay (500 words or less) indicating the student’s career aspirations, why the student desires to enter the educational field, and how the student has given back to the PVSD schools and/or greater community.
